Facebook killed my dog (Day 6 of Facebook Deactivation)

So its been about a week now of deactivating my Facebook, having all the extra time i apparently have now, its been a journey of self-discovery. One big thing to note is time, specifically how much time i have without the constant need and want to just scroll through hours of endless timeline bull shit. The vast majority of my adult life has been in and around checking some sort of list of status, or timelines, or “What i did today” bull shit. From friendster to Facebook, its all the same shit, all the same reiteration of the same damned machine.

The second thing i realized, Friends who you think are really close, aren’t as close as you may thing they are. Don’t take what i say the wrong way, i’m not saying my close friends, or even your close friends, are not close to you. But rather, we see them as being more connected to us, and having a closer bond, than what they actually do in real life. You read their posts, maybe PM once in a while, hell, maybe even video chat. But without that actual experience of a person to person meeting, Its really just a hallow win, isn’t it?

Unfortunately, soon, i will have to reactivate my Facebook, mainly for work and so i can actually access like half the stuff i login to. Which really, I have to point out, Facebook is so god damn interconnected to every fucking thing. I literally can not login to a ton of sites because its all connected to my facebook. I can’t sign in to certain games, because of facebook. Oh and since my facebook profile is disabled, i can’t manage my pages without another person taking admin control while its deactivated, or making a secondary account (Which is against TOS). So that means that my Businesses would susffer for me just trying to get away from Facebook for a short period of time to work on my Mental health.

Moral of my story, Facebook is trying to kill us, and making it impossible for us to stop them from doing so.
